Answers or Questions + Amsterdam/Paris Trip…

Hi All!  Happy New Year to everyone.  As we come to the close of the first month of the year I have a tendency to evaluate the start of this, new cycle.

A number of years ago I read a  Zora Neal Hurston novel, where she proclaimed “There are years that ask questions and other years that answer” I found it profound and immediately adopted that introspective approach to evaluating my year at its beginning, and amazingly I discovered that I could determine the energetic direction of my year by asking that one question.

So I ask you…Is this a year that is asking you questions or one that is answering?

At the end of 2018 I traveled to Amsterdam and Paris (with my daughters)! Visiting lots of Art Galleries, Flea Markets and of course incredible eating places.

In Amsterdam, I had the great pleasure to connect with Tessa Maagdenberg and visit her studio.

Tessa generously showed us around Amsterdam and The Hague.  Such a gracious hostess and an incredible artist!

Journaling on the train from Amsterdam to Paris.

We also, were fortunate to spend the afternoon at the Louis Vuitton Foundation Museum, in Paris, viewing the art of Jean-Michel Basquiat.

One word sums up this incredible exhibition…Brilliant!

What a perfect door color for this knocker in Paris.

Notre Dame, Paris.

What a great time!  Travel always inspires me and informs my art……

And as always…Happy Creating!
